Remo Fernandes on Wikipedia...

Reference Laboratory is working on India, not only considering this country as a market and trading partner, but also building strong relationships with some sound engineers and musicians that we recognized as relevant professionals both from the expertise and and human point of view . People that we respect and consider very much.
Today we introduce a new friend: Remo Fernandes
We met this important leader of Indian pop / rock music, at PalmExpo in Mumbai, thanks to a strong suggestion of the famous sound engineer Nakul Kamte. We have been talking about microphone and instrument cables and Mr. Fernandes decided to test our Reference cable RMC-S01, with the same seriousness and precision that made him achieving some national and international awards and recognitions.

Here you will find his influential "verdict" in a quote honoring us and we thank him so much. To learn more about the artist as well as the Quote already mentioned, in the specific boxes you will find infos about Bio, Videos and related Web Links

I am a musician, not a recording engineer. At least not a trained one, though I have been recording and mixing all my albums and film songs in my private home studio ever since 'Jalwa' in 1984. The first time I heard a 'Reference Laboratories' RMCS01 cable, I ran an A/B test against a famous German one. The 'Reference' stood out a mile. Next I did a test against a legendary American cable. The difference was more subtle, but unmistakeable: the RL had more body [in all frequencies]. Richer. More solid. More 'there'. Not to mention its transparency and noiselessness. And that's one of the main aims in recording, isn't it? To get as much of the source's body, as transparently as possible, into the recorded signal. I can't wait to re-wire my entire studio with Reference Laboratories cables in October 2012.

More info about Remo Fernandes on Wikipedia..Luis Remo De Maria Bernardo Fernandes (born 8 May 1953) is a popular pop/rock/Indian fusion artist and playback singer from the state of Goa, India. His musical work is a fusion of many different cultures and styles he's been exposed to as a child in Goa and in his later travels around the world. Such influences include Goan and Portuguese music, Sega music from Mauritius and Seychelles, African music, Latin music from Cuba and Nicaragua, the music of erstwhile European communist states, those of the dancehalls from Jamaica and Soca from Trinidad. Writing and singing songs in English made his success more distinctive in the context of the Bollywood dominated, Hindi language based, Disco music scene that was popular in the 80s and 90s. His compositions in English, reflecting life and socio-political happenings in India which every Indian could identify with, became popular largely with the growing, English educated, Indian middle class. His Bollywood songs in Hindi became instant hits with the Indian masses, earning him Platinum and Double Platinum Discs. A popular stage performer in India, he has also taken part in many music festivals around the world. Remo writes his own lyrics and music, plays all the instruments and sings all the voices in his recordings, handles all the recording and mixing engineering single-handed, and designs his album covers. In his music videos, he scripts, directs and edits them himself. He has rightly been termed a 'One-Man-Music-Industry' by the Indian Press.
